| Description |
Short Hills Provincial Park is a 735 hectare natural environment park. Geographically, the park is situated in the Regional Municipality of Niagara, spanning through St. Catharines, Pelham and Thorold. Notable features such as the Niagara Escarpment and Carolinian Forests are protected in the park as they are provincially significant earth science and life science features. Access to the park’s trails is initiated from parking lots located off Pelham, Roland and Wiley Roads. Gilligan Road, a gravel path into the park from Pelham Road, provides access for emergency vehicles. Park users can enjoy various activities such as hiking, fishing, birdwatching, cross-country skiing, horseback riding and mountain biking on authorized trails. Trails have been clearly marked with colour coded numbers to show their designated activities
